Irrigation Water Treatment Process Flow
1️⃣ Booster Pump & Pretreatment
Water is first pumped from the source into pretreatment tanks, which vary in size depending on capacity requirements. Due to the high TDS levels commonly found in irrigation water, we typically use FRP or Carbon Steel tanks to prevent corrosion.
2️⃣ Pretreatment System
The pretreatment stage is essential for removing suspended solids, iron, turbidity, color, chlorine, sediment, organic matter, and odor. Our standard pretreatment process includes:
🔹 Sand Media Filter Tank – Removes large particles and sediments
🔹 Activated Carbon Filter Media Tank – Eliminates chlorine, taste, and odor
🔹 Softener Tank (Ion Exchange Resin) – Reduces water hardness to prevent scaling
For some applications, activated carbon and softener tanks may not be necessary. Our water treatment solutions are flexible, allowing us to customize the best system for your specific needs.
3️⃣ Cartridge Filter (Security Filter)
After pretreatment, water passes through a cartridge filter housing containing 1µm or 5µm PP filters, which remove any remaining fine particles.

✔ For High Salinity Water: Carbon Steel, FRP, or PVC filter housings
In some cases, UF (Ultrafiltration) Systems are used instead of traditional pretreatment filters. UF removes larger particles and impurities but does not reduce TDS levels.
4️⃣ Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filtration
Water is then pressurized through membrane vessels using a high-pressure pump.
