High-Capacity RO Seawater Desalination Plant
Our industrial RO seawater desalination plants provide a capacity range of 2m³/hour to 2500m³/day. For lower capacity needs, check out our commercial RO desalination machines.
How Does an Industrial RO Seawater Desalination Plant Work?
All RO desalination systems begin with a booster pump, which feeds raw water into pretreatment tanks. Depending on capacity, the size and number of pretreatment tanks can vary. Since seawater has a high TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and is highly corrosive, we use FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) or carbon steel materials for durability.
Key Pretreatment Components:
- Sand Media Filter Tank – Removes suspended solids, sediment, and turbidity.
- Activated Carbon Filter Tank – Eliminates chlorine, organic contaminants, odors, and unwanted colors.
- Softener Tank with Ion Exchange Resin – Prevents scaling by reducing hardness.
Reverse Osmosis Seawater Purification System
The RO purification system removes: ✅ Dissolved salts
✅ Heavy metals
✅ Bacteria & viruses
✅ Organic & inorganic solids
✅ Proteins, dyes, and unwanted particles
Step-by-Step Water Filtration Process
-
Pretreatment Stage: Filters out large suspended solids and organic contaminants.
-
Cartridge Filter Housing (Security Filter): Uses 1µm or 5µm PP filters to remove finer particles before entering high-pressure pumps.
-
High-Pressure Pump & Membrane Filtration:
- We offer Grundfos, Danfoss, CNP, or Chunke high-pressure pump options.
- RO membranes from DOW Filmtec, Toray, Vontron, Hydranautics, and LG ensure 99% salt rejection.
- Membranes available in 4040 and 8040 sizes based on system capacity.
-
Post-Treatment & Chemical Dosing:
- Anti-scalant & anti-fouling agents prevent membrane clogging.
- pH adjustment, sterilization, and disinfection chemicals for improved water quality.
- Optional CIP (Clean-In-Place) System extends membrane lifespan.

Industrial RO Desalination Machine – Cost Considerations
The cost of an industrial seawater desalination system is higher than that of a regular freshwater RO system. This is because:
- High-pressure pumps are required to handle seawater’s high salinity.
- Corrosion-resistant materials (FRP, stainless steel) increase longevity.
- Advanced filtration membranes are used for high-recovery desalination.
Why Choose Our Industrial Seawater RO Desalination Systems?
✅ Customizable to Your Water Analysis – Tailored design based on your specific water quality.
✅ Global Quality Standards – We use ISO, FDA, and NSF-certified components.
✅ Low Maintenance & Long Lifespan – Equipped with CIP (Clean-In-Place) system to extend membrane life.
✅ Competitive Pricing & Cost-Efficiency – Best balance of affordability, performance, and durability.
