The BW (Brackish Water) Series membrane elements by Haitong Membrane Technology Co., Ltd. are advanced aromatic polyamide composite membranes designed for efficient brackish water desalination. Engineered for low-pressure operation, high water yield, and superior desalination performance, these membranes effectively remove soluble salts, TOC, and SiO₂, making them ideal for treating high-salinity and complex water sources.
✅ Exceptional Filtration Efficiency – Effectively removes dissolved salts, heavy metals, colloids, microorganisms, and organic matter, ensuring pure and safe water.
✅ High Recovery Rate – Optimized design allows a recovery rate exceeding 90%, maximizing efficiency while reducing waste.
✅ Superior Anti-Fouling Properties – Wider water channels and uniform flow distribution prevent contamination and enhance cleaning efficiency.
✅ Long-Term Stability & Durability – Resistant to pressure densification, wear, chemical degradation, and microbial attack, ensuring a longer lifespan.
✅ Cost-Effective Maintenance – Can be cleaned with affordable and effective common chemicals, significantly reducing operational costs.
✅ Versatile Applications – Ideal for power plants, petrochemical industries, steel production, electronics, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, municipal water treatment, and environmental protection.
Haitong BW series membranes ensure high-efficiency, trouble-free water treatment systems with minimal operational costs, making them the preferred choice for industries requiring large-scale pure water solutions.
a. The product water output and desalination rate are based on the following test conditions: 2000 ppm softened tap water, water temperature at 25°C, pH 7.5, a single membrane recovery rate of 15%, and the rated application test pressure mentioned above.
b. The product water output of an individual membrane element may vary by ±15%.
General Information
Key Operating Guidelines
Startup Procedures
✅ Keep Membranes Moist – Once wetted, membrane elements must always remain hydrated.
✅ Warranty Conditions – The limited warranty is void if operating limits and guidelines are not strictly followed.
✅ Long-Term Storage – To prevent microbial growth, membranes should be stored in a preservation solution containing 1.5% (by weight) sodium bisulfite (food-grade).
✅ Chemical Compatibility – Users are responsible for ensuring that all chemicals and lubricants used are compatible with the membrane elements.
✅ Pressure Limitations – The maximum allowable pressure drop per pressure vessel is 50 psi (3.4 bar).
✅ Prevent Backpressure – Backpressure on the product water side must always be avoided.
Note: The use of this product alone does not guarantee the effective removal of cysts and pathogens. The efficacy of pathogen removal depends on the overall system design and maintenance.
